Caves Valley Golf Club in Maryland hosts the second round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs and we’ve picked out our best BMW Championship betting tips.
There are 50 golfers still in contention, with the top 30 in the overall standings after this event advancing to the TOUR Championship.
Driving distance is considered important on this long course, but putting average played an even greater part in deciding the outcome when this venue last staged the nomadic tournament in 2021.
How To Watch The BMW Championship
All four rounds will be live on Sky Sports, with full coverage starting from 5pm on Thursday and Friday and 6pm over the weekend.
Who Will Win The BMW Championship?
Nine players have picked up multiple wins in the playoffs over the past dozen years, so St Jude Championship hero Justin Rose has to be considered at 30/1, along with runner-up JJ Spaun on 22/1.
World number one Scottie Scheffler heads the betting on 9/4 after sharing third place last week, while Rory McIlroy returns to action after a brief break and is 6/1.
Rory Mcllroy @ 6/1
However, looking at the BMW Championship odds, we like Cameron Young at 18/1 for this set-up. The American is ranked high enough in driving distance to handle this course, if he can keep the ball on the fairways, and is in the top 10 for putting this year.
Young followed up his breakthrough victory at the Wyndham Championship with fifth place at the St Jude, carding the best fourth-round score with a superb 64.
Cameron Young @ 18/1
BMW Championship Each-Way Bets
Patrick Cantlay is an easy pick for this category at 16/1, having edged out Bryson DeChambeau in a play-off here four years ago, before retaining the title with a triumph in Wilmington.
Cantlay missed the cut in a third straight major at The Open but bounced back to form with a T9 effort at the St Jude and is running out of time to post a first victory of 2025.
Patrick Cantlay @ 16/1
Ben Griffin has had some season and we see no reason why he won’t see it out in a positive manner.
Wins at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and the Charles Schwab Challenge have been backed up by seven other top-10 placings, including a T9 at TPC Southwind last week – which came on the back of T11 at the Wyndham Championship.
It’s been a long campaign for the 29-year-old, but with the finishing line in sight, he can hopefully remain in the zone for a little while longer.
Ben Griffin @ 25/1
