Excited punters were left disappointed this week when a BoyleSports ice cream van didn’t sell any 99s - or take any bets.
Baffled onlookers were greeted with the van, fully decked out in BoyleSports branding, chiming its way through housing estates in Ireland.
But with doors closed on BoyleSports’ network of retail shops, customers were denied the chance to queue for a flutter or indeed for any sweet treats.
Instead, the vehicle was promoting a no-lose €10 bet for all Mobile customers on the big match which headlines a ‘Super Sundae’ of sporting action.
Manchester City host Liverpool in a clash between last season’s top two in the Premier League - and BoyleSports’ Mobile customers are being offered a €10 bet, which will be refunded with a free bet if it loses on Sunday.
Footage has now emerged of the new BoyleSports employee who owned the van, but didn't quite grasp the concept of 'Mobile Betting'.
