Bayern v Inter Preview
Bayern’s Form
Before last season Bayern dominated the Bundesliga winning 11 consecutive titles but in 23/24 they were undone to the fairytale story of Bayer Leverkusen led by Alonso landing to their first Bundesliga title. That prompted them to sign the likes of Olise, Paulinha and Ito for a net spend of €-67.65m this summer. That spending has hit all the right notes with now in pole position to reclaim the Bundesliga with them 6 clear of Leverkusen with 10 games remaining in their league season.
Their Champions League form began in mixed fashion, though they hammered Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 which was followed by defeats 1-0 against Aston Villa and 4-1 against Barcelona. They ended the league phase with a record of four wins and 1 defeat to advance into a seeded playoff position. They overcame a resilient challenge from Celtic over two legs to win 3-2 on aggregate to reach the Round of 16 before comfortably they battered German rivals Leverkusen 0-5 on aggregate to reach this semi-final.
Though they’ve been weakened by several injury issues including Davies out for the season. They still have a squad loaded with quality which makes them a match for any team on their day.

Inter’s Form
Inter were dominant winners of the Serie A last season coming 19 points clear of their bitter rivals Milan. They were also Supercoppa winners though their Champions League Round of 16 elimination was disappointing after reaching the final in 2023. This season though they face a battle to retain their Serie A title with 7 games remaining they’re only 3 points ahead of Napoli.
They were impressive in their opening league phase campaign with 6 victories and only 1 defeat from their opening 8 matches their only defeat ironically came against German opposition with a 1-0 loss to Leverkusen before Christmas. Regardless their record placed them fourth and meant they automatically advanced to the Round of 16 stage. Inter were again impressive to book their place in the quarter-final stage with a 4-1 aggregate win over Feyenoord.
While not the most star-studded of sides left in the competition under Simone Inzaghi they’re arguably the most tactically difficult side to deal with left from the remaining sites. Furthermore with Pavard and Bastoni in defence, Barella in midfield and Thuram and Martinez leading the line they’re not short on quality across the park.

Key Players To Watch
Harry Kane – Bayern Munich
Despite a red-hot first season for Bayern since signing from Tottenham last season 44 goals and 12 assists in 45 games was ironically not enough to land Bayern any trophy despite their previous Bundesliga dominance.
Kane has continued to be prolific this season scoring 34 goals and assisting 12 times across only 39 matches in all competitions. If you fancy him to score in this game he is 10/3 to score first and 6/5 to score anytime.
Kane first goal - 10/3
Lautaro Martinez -Inter
The Argentinian Striker and Inter Captain is one of the most underrated footballers in European Football, despite a record of 27 goals and 7 assists from 44 matches in all competitions this season. This season he has been less prolific but remains effective with 18 goals and 6 assists in 40 games across all competitions.
He can be gotten at 7/1 to score in this game first and 5/2 to score any time in the game.
Martinez anytime goal - 5/2
Bayern v Inter Prediction & Best Bet
Prediction: Bayern 2-0 Inter
Bayern are quietly gone under the radar but will need to manage their squad and the injury issues if they’re to compete on both domestic and European fronts in the coming weeks.
Inter are another side fighting domestically and in Europe and perform excellently with some players who have previously been classified as “misfits” elsewhere.
This could go either way but I think home advantage will be enough for Bayern.
Best Bet: Bayern Win + Under 3.5 Total Goals @ 17/10
Bayern Win + Under 3.5 Total Goals - 17/10
