Ballinabola Ed was the stand-alone favourite at 10/1 but his odds with BoyleSports have been eased out to 12/1 making him the joint favourite with Coolavanny Hoffa.
Both are extremely talented greyhounds with the Pat Buckley trained Ballinbola Ed catching the eye in the earlier rounds of the English Greyhound Derby.
The Michael J O’Donovan-trained Coolavanny Hoffa has won his last four races at Shelbourne Park with his most recent victory on debut over the 550 yards trip where he clocked a very good 29.56.
The sponsors have been keeping this talented tracker on side with his odds cut into 12/1 from 14/1 in the betting.
Last year’s Irish Sprint winner and Dog of the Year Good Cody is attracting support too, with his odds clipped into 14/1 from 16/1.
The Sporting Press Irish Oaks winner Raha Mofo is 50/1 while last year’s runner-up Singalong Sally can be backed at the same odds after she was trimmed from 66/1.
Hello Hammond was crowned the BoyleSports Derby Trial Stake winner at Kilkenny Stadium last week with 66/1 available for the Paul Hennessy trained English Greyhound Derby finalist.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “We cannot wait for the 2022 BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby to kick off. The draw is on Monday, August 15th, and we expect a massive entry list with the first round on the 19th.
"We cannot split Ballinbola Ed and Coolavanny Hoffa as they are 12/1 joint favourites but there is support spread across the whole market with the likes of Good Cody 14/1 from 16/1 and Singalong Sally who is 50/1 from 66/1.”
