Charles Leclerc has had a love-hate relationship with the Baku City Circuit, but is fancied to finally get everything right on race day in our 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix predictions.

Past form figures of 6-5-4-DNF-3-2 highlight how the Ferrari driver has been getting closer and closer to success at this event - but they hardly tell the full story.

Leclerc has started out on pole here for the past four years and is 9/2 to be fastest in qualifying once again in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix odds.

The 27-year-old, who loves street circuits and has been first and second in the last two seasons at Monaco, can also be backed at 7/1 for outright victory on Sunday and 11/10 to make the podium.

Ferrari Target Baku

Prancing Horse showing some promise

Ferrari are facing a race against time to secure their first race win of the season, but team boss Fred Vasseur has identified Baku as probably their best chance of breaking that 2025 duck.

There were some encouraging signs last time out at Monza, where Leclerc got off to a fast start before ultimately finishing fourth, and Lewis Hamilton was sixth after a five-place grid penalty put him back in 10th spot on the grid.

"Our target was to get Charles on the podium, but it was just out of reach,” said Vasseur. “He had a strong race with a good fight at the beginning, but that meant he overworked the tyres a bit at this stage. In the end, we were not so far behind the McLarens, just four seconds.”

The Prancing Horse outfit are second in the constructors’ championship, with Leclerc outscoring Hamilton 163-117, and the latter is 25/1 for Azerbaijan glory.

McLaren

McLaren to restore superiority?

Of course, the table is dominated by McLaren, who have Oscar Piastri at the top of the drivers’ standings on 324 and Lando Norris second with 293.

Having registered 12 wins so far between them this term, last year’s victor Piastri and Norris are 6/4 and 2/1 respectively to be on top of the podium in Baku.

Max Verstappen can be backed at 7/2 after securing a third success of 2025 with a superb performance at Monza, while Canadian Grand Prix hero George Russell is 20/1 here.

One stat worth noting is that five of the seven past renewals of this race have been won by under five seconds, so 4/6 for that to happen again in the winning margin market is added to our Azerbaijan Grand Prix betting tips.
