Auguste Rodin has strengthened his early position as Epsom Derby favourite after winning Saturday’s Vertem Futurity Trophy Stakes at Doncaster.
The colt has also gone favourite in the 2000 Guineas ahead of stablemate Little Big Bear at 4/1 from 10/1.There was also an early mover in the betting for the Cheltenham Festival as Pied Piper overcame rival Knight Salute at the Prestbury park track to go 16/1 from 28/1 for Champion Hurdle.Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Antepost punters were clearly very impressed by Auguste Rodin and they are happy to bank on him living up the hype next season.
