Aston Villa vs Brighton Prediction:

BOYLE Sports Team 11 February 2026 at 03:18pm
Villa Park

Aston Villa , perhaps inevitably, have started to lose steam since their record-breaking 11-match winning streak was ended by Arsenal at the end of December. They have still kept hold of third place in the Premier League and finished second in the Europa League league stage, but several results will have concerned Villa fans, most notably the loss of their home domination.

Aston Villa v Brighton Match Result – PL 25/26

Brighton are also looking for a pick-me-up, having won only twice in 13 league and cup matches, while they were beaten at home by bitter rivals Crystal Palace at the weekend. A curious pattern has emerged with Brighton’s results, which has seen them draw every other fixture since the end of November, a sequence which would mean the points being shared at Villa Park if it continues.

However, we think it will be Villa who come out on top, and our prediction is a home win with BTTS @12/5.

Form Guides

Aston Villa Form Guide

Villa’s impressive showing domestically and in Europe this season has been built around their formidable home form, but cracks have started to appear in their Villa Park fortress. Villa had reeled off 11 successive home wins before losing 1-0 to Everton last month, and since then, they have also seen Brentford leave the Midlands with a 1-0 victory.

Combine that with draws at Palace and Bournemouth , and Unai Emery’s side are now one bad day away from losing third place in the table, with Manchester United hot on their heels. However, Villa have an excellent record against Brighton , winning seven of their last nine meetings while losing just once, and you can get 5/2 for a 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 home success .

Ollie Watkins has played a key role in that Villa domination, scoring nine times against the Seagulls down the years, and the England man is 6/5 to add another this week. And with BOYLE Sports’ Sub Swap feature, you could get a second chance to win with Watkins’ replacement if he is substituted without scoring. Against Bournemouth , it was new signing Tammy Abraham who came on for Watkins .

Brighton Form Guide

Brighton’s defeat to Palace in the A23 derby continued a disappointing run which has brought only nine points from a possible 36 over the last few months. That has left the Seagulls i n the bottom seven, and although they still hold a decent gap to the relegation spots, Fabian Hurzeler may be getting a little concerned.

Brighton led 2-0 after half an hour in their December meeting with Villa before seeing the visiting Villans hit back for a 4-3 win at the Amex . If you fancy Brighton to score in both halves this week, as they did that day, you can get odds of 4/1, but yellow cards might be a better market.

The south-coast side are second in the Premier League for bookings this season, with Lewis Dunk , Diego Gomez and Jan Paul van Hecke combining to pick up a third of the team’s 60 cautions. Dunk and Van Hecke are both 2/1 to see yellow again at Villa , while Gomez is 15/8.
