Nicky Henderson’s hot prospect is currently rated Britain’s best chance of winning the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and can cement those claims in this trial.
Old Park Star built on a smooth Kempton success when bolting up by 12 lengths at Prestbury Park last month, creating a big impression in the process.

Ascot 13:40 – La Conquiere
Jamie Snowden’s charge featured in our 10 National Hunt horses to follow earlier this season and has done us proud with victories at Uttoxeter and Newbury .
She now steps up in class to Grade Two company but hopefully has the scope to improve past some more exposed rivals.
Haydock 13:40
Haydock 14:00 – Myretown
Course specialist Royale Pagaille bids to win the Peter Marsh Chase for a third time but the 12-year-old has to give plenty of weight away to some progressive types who have age on their side.
Konfusion commands respect after prevailing three times already this term but preference is for Myretown , whose 11-length Ultima victory at the Cheltenham Festival last year surely represents a stronger piece of form.
The Scottish raider has to bounce back from a fall at Newbury on his seasonal reappearance but connections have issued positive reports regarding his well-being.
Ascot 14:20
Ascot 14:20 – Scarface
Joe Tizzard’s nine-year-old did little wrong last time out when second here to Etalon , who just got loose on the front that day.
Scarface kept on well and was closing at the line, so he has every chance of turning the tables on 4lb better terms over a slightly longer trip.
Ascot 15:30
Ascot 15:30 – Il Etait Temps
Willie Mullins claimed a Clarence House Chase hat-trick with Un De Sceaux from 2016 to 2018 and can take top honours again.
Il Etait Temps cruised clear of Jonbon in Sandown’s Celebration Chase at the end of last season and recently secured an even more decisive success over that rival in the Tingle Creek at the same course.
This will be the flying grey’s first visit to Ascot but all the evidence suggests he should take this trophy off Jonbon as well.
