Result | Odds | Chance |
---|---|---|
Anthony Joshua | 1/4 | 80% |
Daniel Dubois | 3/1 | 25% |
Draw | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Anthony Joshua is 1/4 favourite to win back the IBF heavyweight title that he lost against Oleksandr Usyk in September 2021 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Daniel Dubois may have had his interim title upgraded to Full Champion, but he is expected to be up against it in his first title offence and can be gotten at 3/1 to retain the title.
If you fancy both fighters to cancel one another out, the draw is a big price at 16/1.

Antony Joshua v Daniel Dubois Fight Preview.
Joshua was late to the boxing game starting at 18 he quickly rose to prominence as one of the brightest stars in British Boxing and following a Gold Medal at the 2012 London Olympics, he turned professional in 2023.
He took the professional game by storm, winning his first 18 bouts with each one of those victories coming by KO or TKO. But it was his 19 th career victory coming via TKO against Wladimir Klitschko in 2017 catapulted him into superstardom retaining his previously won IBF heavyweight title; and the vacant WBA (Super) and IBO heavyweight titles.
However, he hasn’t held that belt since he lost it to Oleksander Usyk via Unanimous Decision in September 2021 as well as the rematch via Split Decision. However, he has had a new lease of life since winning four of his last four bouts.
Daniel Dubois also had a glistening amateur where he took part in 75 bouts, including two English schoolboy titles. He opted against waiting for the Olympics turning pro in 2017 winning his first 16 bouts before losing to Joe Joyce in 2020.
He bounced back with fanfare winning 4 bouts before losing to Oleksandr Usyk. However, after that defeat wins over Miller and Hrgovic meant he won the interim IBF heavyweight title (which has since been upgraded to world champion).
Dubois has garnered a reputation for being one of the hardest hitters on the scene and the pressure will be off his plate ahead of this bout against Joshua making him a dangerous prospect.
What The Fighters Have Said
Anthony Joshua:
“There’s no emotion. No emotions. I’m just here. I’m just here. More media, more talking. More training, most importantly, and walking into the ring in front of 96,000 people ready to show people my gladiatorial spirit.”
Daniel Dubois:
“I’m ready to fight so I’m in a good place at the moment. I’m going through the motions and just building up my energy for Saturday. I know I need to go to another level at my very best. I can’t wait for the challenge on Saturday. I’m ready to fight; let’s go.”
Antony Joshua v Daniel Dubois Prediction
Anthony Joshua is not only a boxer of immense ability, but he has shown tremendous resilience throughout his career first avenging his loss to Ruiz and most recently to go on a four-fight winning streak following his two losses to Usyk.
However, the expectation levels are now firmly back in his court with him the heavy favourite to win this bout the time is now for Joshua to step up to the plate again and perform.
Daniel Dubois heads into this bout in the somewhat strange position of never officially winning the titles he is defending and the big underdog to retain it on the first time of asking. Thus the power puncher who has won 20/21 bouts via knockout is in the paradoxical place of having plenty to prove in one sense but also it’s a free hit to catapult himself properly into the top of the boxing scene.
This promises to be an explosive fight with few expecting it to go anywhere close to the distance. I think Dubois will attempt to go out hard and fast looking for the early stoppage but could ultimately tire himself out for Joshua to win via knockout.
Prediction: Anthony Joshua Rounds 5-6 @ 5/1
