Glen's Odds Slashed Ahead Of Decider
The odds on Glen securing a first All-Ireland Senior Club Football title have been clipped after they teed up a debut appearance in the final at the expense of Connacht champions Moycullen.
Tiarnán Flannagan's early goal in the second half gave Malachy O’Rourke’s side a five-point cushion and while the Galway men fought back to reduce the deficit to two, it wasn't enough to deny the Ulster champions their first appearance in an All-Ireland final.
BoyleSports have since slashed the odds on the Derry kingpins being crowned All-Ireland champions into 7/4 from 11/4, however they will start the decider as underdogs with long-time favourites Kilmacud Crokes waiting in the Croke Park showdown.
Crokes Bid To Make Amends For 2022 Final Loss
Robbie Brennan's side held off a late surge from Kerins O'Rahilly's in the other semi-final to emerge winners by three points, teeing up their second successive appearance in an All-Ireland final in the process.
Corner forward Hugh Kenny was the star man on the day for Kilmacud as he put 1-02 on the scoreboard. His tally is all the more impressive given that all of his scores came from open play.
Dublin star Paul Mannion didn't feature against Kerins O'Rahilly's as he continues to make his recovery from a knee injury. Mannion is reported to be making good progress in his bid to return to the field and if he is fit to play for the final it would be a massive boost for Crokes's chances.
It was the Ulster champions who denied the Stillorgan outfit last year when a last-gasp extra-time goal from Kilcoo decided the final, but Crokes are now 4/9 from 8/13 to go one better this time against their Derry opponents.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said:
Glen have been well backed in the north west all season and confidence is growing that they’re going to go all the way to All-Ireland glory.

"Paul Mannion may be back for the final and Kilmacud Crokes have been long-time favourites, but the Derry men are taking their fair share of early support and it looks anything but a walkover.”
