Moycullen Odds Shorten
Moycullen have made a significant move up the betting for the All-Ireland Senior Club Football championship after they surged into the Connacht semi-finals at the expense of Westport.
Captain Dessie Conneely hit ten points as the Galway men brushed off an early goal from the first-time Mayo champions to run out winners by 3-18 to 1-11.
BoyleSports reacted by cutting Don Connellan’s side into 4/1 from 8/1 to be crowned All-Ireland champions, leaving just two sides ahead of them in the latest betting.
All-Ireland Club Football Betting Movement
Kilmacud Crokes remain 2/1 favourites, but reigning champions Kilcoo (9/2) are attracting increased support for a successful defence after they stayed on track for a third consecutive Ulster crown.
Ballybay were attempting to take a second major scalp after ending the hopes of Crossmaglen Rangers, but the Down champions impressed in a ten-point victory at Clones and were subsequently backed into 9/2 from 7/1 for All-Ireland honours again.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Punters have taken notice of Moycullen’s win over Westport and they clearly believe it has cemented their credentials as serious All-Ireland contenders. It wouldn’t be the best of results for our books if they were to go all the way, but at 4/1 from 8/1 they are now third favourites to do just that.”
