Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle Preview
David Casey: “I think there’s a good chance Readin Tommy Wrong will run here and if he does, I think he’s a bet. He’s a Grade 1 winner and I think he won a good race the last day. He’s a very relaxed horse and I think that will help him in this race. High Class Hero has won plenty of races at a lower grade purposely, Willie has let him build into it. The profile of the race suits him having plenty of runs but Readin Tommy Wrong has the touch of class.”
Johnny Dineen: “This is the one novice race where anything can win. When novices run over three miles and good ground with a fast pace, it can throw up any result. I’d chance Stellar Story each way, over three miles with an end-to-end gallop. Funny things can happen in this race and plenty of outsiders have won, I’d rather have a stab at a big price than back a favourite.”
Gavin Cromwell: “I have a horse that won at Haydock called Nowisthehour that I might supplement if the ground is due to be soft. We don’t have to supplement until March 9th and we should know at that stage what the ground will be like. He’s been crying out for a trip and bad ground. He won very well the last day, but the race fell apart. We aren’t losing the run of ourselves but at the same time, we’ll certainly consider it.”
Robbie Power: “ Captain Teague has a big shout in this each way. He was third in the bumper last year and has been crying out for a step up in trip. I think he’d have a great chance in this”.
