A potential Bundesliga blowout and several stalemates are among our five selections from this weekend’s top European action, and this acca would bring a 309/1 payout.
At BOYLE Sports, we always encourage you to Back Yourself, and these are our selections for this week's European football action.
Bayern Munich vs Borussia M'gladbach
Bayern Munich to win at Borussia M’gladbach & Over 3.5 Total Goals @ 10/11
Bayern continued their perfect start to the season by brushing aside Club Brugge 4-0 to make it 12 successive wins, and we cannot see it becoming unlucky 13 against Monchengladbach.
Vincent Kompany’s men have been simply unstoppable, and in the Bundesliga, they already boast a five-point lead, having scored the most goals (27), conceded the fewest (four), and in Harry Kane have arguably the best player in Europe right now.
And as good as record-breaking Bayern have been, Monchengladbach have been poor. They started the season by scraping past fifth-tier Atlas Delmenhorst 3-2 in the DFB-Pokal and have not won since, with their return of three points the worst in the division.
Cremonese vs Atalanta
Cremonese to draw with Atalanta @ 14/5
Cremonese and Atalanta clash in the battle of the Serie A draw specialists and another close encounter could be on the cards for these two resolute sides.
Promoted Cremonese have drawn five of their eight fixtures but have only been beaten in the league by Inter Milan, while they caused a stir by defeating AC Milan at San Siro.
Atalanta, meanwhile, have shared the spoils in six of their 10 fixtures and their only defeat came at the hands of European champions Paris St Germain, so both teams have proven tough nuts to crack.
Real Betis vs Atletico Madrid
Real Betis to draw with Atletico Madrid @ 5/2
Real Betis and Atletico Madrid are separated by the narrowest of margins after nine games in LaLiga - the Rojiblancos having scored one more goal - and we think there will be little to separate them on Monday night.
Fifth-placed Betis, for whom Manchester United flop Antony has proven an inspired acquisition, claimed their first victory over Atletico since 2019 in last season’s corresponding fixture but should brace themselves for a backlash this time.
Diego Simeone’s men had looked to have put their early-season wobbles behind them with a six-game unbeaten run but that ended with a 4-0 midweek mauling at Arsenal and they will be hurting.
Brest vs PSG
PSG to win both halves at Brest @ 9/4
Paris St Germain have been knocked off top spot in Ligue 1 by Marseille but do not be surprised if Luis Enrique’s champions reclaim pole position this weekend.
While OM travel to fourth-placed Lens, PSG go to mid-table Brest buoyed by a 7-2 Champions League demolition of Bayer Leverkusen and secure in the knowledge they are facing one of their favourite opponents.
PSG have won 18 of their last 19 meetings with Brest - drawing the other - and defeated them four times last season by a combined 18-3 scoreline.
Feyenoord vs PSG
Feyenoord to draw with PSV Eindhoven @ 11/4
Feyenoord’s title credentials face a litmus test on Sunday as the leaders host reigning champions PSV in a battle of the Eredivisie’s top two.
The Rotterdamers remained three points clear of PSV following their 7-0 hammering of Heracles last weekend and boast the only unbeaten record in the division.
But PSV are in red-hot form as well and head to De Kuip on the back of three successive league wins and a 6-2 Champions League drubbing of Napoli in midweek. They have also lost just one of their last 11 meetings with Feyenoord.
