2026 PDC World Darts Championship Betting Favourites

Luke Littler – 2026 World Darts Championship Favourite

The favourite for the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship is Luke Littler at odds of 6/4. Those odds imply that Littler has a 40% chance of winning a second consecutive world title having become the youngest ever champion at just 17 years of age.

‘The Nuke’ was dominant in the most recent edition of this event as he cruised to the final. Many fancied 3x world champion Michael van Gerwen to push Littler all the way. In the end, however, MVG could prove no match for the teenager’s heavy scoring and deadly doubles as Littler won out 7-4 to notch the first of what is expected to be many world championship crowns.

After the 17-year-old’s performances in his two PDC World Championship campaigns to date plus his breathtaking talent, it is no surprise that he is the man to beat in the betting.

Luke Humphries – World Darts Championship Second Favourite

The 2024 PDC World Darts Champion Luke Humphries is the second favourite at 7/2 to win the tournament for a second time in 2026. Those odds suggest that Humphries has a 22.2% chance of winning the next instalment of this prestigious tournament.

‘Cool Hand Luke’ was tipped by many to double up in 2025 and become back-to-back world champion. Unfortunately for Humphries backers, this was not to be as he was dumped out of the competition in the 4th round at the hands of Peter Wright.

That 4-1 loss to Wright sent shocks through the darting world and will surely arm the 29-year-old with plenty of motivation to retake his crown next year. If he can recapture the form that saw him crowned world champion in 2024 then he will be a hard man to beat.

Michael van Gerwen

3x World Darts Champion Michael van Gerwen is the 5/1 third favourite in the outright betting for the 2026 World Darts Championship. Those odds imply that van Gerwen has a 16.7% chance of success in next year’s event.

Michael van Gerwen Boyle Sports World Grand Prix

‘Mighty Mike’ last won a world title in 2019 and he looked like he could be on his way to ending a 6-year ‘drought’ in 2025 after making his way to the final in impressive fashion. Unfortunately for the Dutchman, he ran into an irresistible Luke Littler in that final and as a result would fall to a 7-3 defeat.

Despite the disappointment of losing the final, MVG’s performances at Alexandra Palace in the most recent edition of this event suggest that he could soon be back to his brilliant best. Needless to say, that would make him a real threat to land a 4th World Championship in 2026.

Gary Anderson

Next up in the betting for the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship is Gary Anderson at 12/1. Those odds suggest that Anderson has a 7.7% chance of winning this tournament in 2026.

‘The Flying Scotsman’ is a 2x PDC World Darts Champion having won the event in 2015 and retaining his crown in 2016. The Scotsman’s most recent outing at this event ended in a 3-1 loss at the second round stage to Sweden’s Jeffrey de Graaf.

With his best days surely behind him at 54 years of age, and his last major title coming in 2018, it would be a surprise if Anderson is able to add a 3rd world title to his resume in 2026.

Gerwyn Price

Further out in the betting is Gerwyn Price at 20/1 to win the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship. Those odds imply that Price has a 4.8% chance of winning this event in 2026.

Gerwyn Price Boyle Sports World Grand Prix

‘The Iceman’ is a 1x world champion having won the event in 2021. That year he beat Gary Anderson in the final.

Since that victory in 2021, Price has failed to make it past the quarter-final stage (22, 23, 25) of this event in 4 attempts.
