We’re into the business end of this week’s BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix action from Leicester and have picked out betting tips for all four quarter-final matches.
The unusual ‘double in, double out’ format always produces plenty of thrills and spills, but if all of our selections are successful, the acca will pay just over 9.5/1.
BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix Quarter-Final Tips
DANNY NOPPERT MOST 180s VS GARY ANDERSON
DANNY NOPPERT MOST 180s VS GARY ANDERSON @ 5/6
Noppert benefited from Stephen Bunting suffering a back injury in the second round, but still put in an impressive display in terms of hitting maximums, with nine scored during that 3-1 success.
Anderson, who last reached the semis here in 2016, hasn’t had to be at his best in beating Raymond van Barneveld and Joe Cullen, firing in just four 180s across both matches combined, so this step up in intensity could catch him out.
Danny Noppert vs Gary Anderson Prediction – Darts 25/26
DIRK VAN DUIJVENBODE TO BEAT JONNY CLAYTON
DIRK VAN DUIJVENBODE TO BEAT JONNY CLAYTON @ 23/20
Van Duijvenbode upset third seed Michael van Gerwen in round one and again advanced without dropping a set when brushing aside Daryl Gurney with a 96.40 average.
Admittedly, neither of his opponents played well, and the Dutchman was able to perform without too much pressure, but that has allowed him to get into a wonderful rhythm at this tournament, and he is rated a value bet at odds against.
Dirk Van Duijvenbode vs Jonny Clayton Prediction – Darts 25/26
LUKE LITTLER VS GERWYN PRICE OVER 8.5 180s
LUKE LITTLER VS GERWYN PRICE OVER 8.5 180s @ 4/7
This promises to be a mouth-watering clash between two players who have looked in great form and should be raring to go.
Littler has had the upper hand in recent meetings, winning their last five encounters, but Price had prevailed in the previous six, so he won’t fear The Nuke.
Last month’s World Series Finals match-up was a brilliant battle, which Littler eventually shaded 11-10 and featured 19 maximums, so more of the same here would be ideal.
Luke Littler vs Gerwyn Price Prediction – Darts 25/26
LUKE HUMPHRIES TO WIN & HAVE HIGHEST CHECKOUT
LUKE HUMPHRIES TO WIN & HAVE HIGHEST CHECKOUT @ 7/10
Cool Hand Luke helped us to collect on this bet in round two when finishing with 134 and 104 checkouts in his 3-1 defeat of Krzysztof Ratajski.
Humphries, who lifted this trophy in 2023 and reached the final last term, had a 156 ending in his opening victory over Nathan Aspinall and has been absolutely clinical on the doubles at the start of legs.
His first six opening darts all hit the target to get him off to a flying start, and a repeat performance should help to see off Cameron Menzies.
