Iga Swiatek

The favourite for the 2024 Australian Open is World Number 1 Iga Swiatek at odds of 2/1 according to the latest tennis odds at BoyleSports. Swiatek’s best finish at the event came in her sem-final appearance back in 2022.

Despite still only being 22, she has been playing on the pro tour since 2016 and has 17 Career Titles to her name along with 4 Grand Slam successes coming at the French Open (2020), (2022) and (2023) along with the US Open in (2022). Her overall career record is an impressive 281–66 (81.0%).

Iga commenced her Australian Open campaign with a 7-6, 6-2 straight sets victory against 2020 winner of this event Sofia Kenin. Her Second round match was a hard-fought 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 victory over 2022 finalist Danielle Collins.

She is drawn in the Third round to face upcoming teenage tennis star Linda Nosková.

Victory at this event would extend her Grand Slam total to 5 victories and would mean the only “Slam” missing from her CV would be Wimbledon.

Aryna Sabalenka

The 2nd favourite for the 2024 Australian Open is the Belarusian force and World Number 2 at 3/1 per the latest tennis betting odds at BoyleSports. The defending champion beat Elena Rybakina in the final last year 4–6, 6–3, 6–4 to claim her first and only Grand Slam success.

Aryna has been playing on the pro tour since 2015 and can boast 13 Career Titles along with a career record of 360–174 (67.4%) on the court. It should be noted that her best performance in each Grand Slam was either replicated or improved on in 2023 after the Australian Open success she reached the Semi-Final of the French Open, and Wimbledon and was a runner-up at the US Open.

Aryna has been flying all tournament, yet to have dropped a single set in her opening three matches.  She opened her account with a dominant 0-6, 1-6 victory over upcoming teenage German player Ella Seidel.  It was a similar story in the next round beating another teenage qualifier Brenda Fruhvirtová this time 3-6, 2-6.

In the Third round she saw she is not only a match for the youth but also the experienced beating 17 year tour veteran

Lesia Tsurenko 0-6, 0-6.

Victory at the 2024 Australian Open would bring her Grand Slam haul to 2 titles and you’d be foolish to discount her, especially with her record from last season.

Coco Gauff

Next in the betting is another rising tennis star, Coco Gauf at 3/1. Since turning pro, the 19-year-old has won a Grand Slam which came at the 2023 US Open.

Coco is one of the brightest talents on tour with 6 career titles already along with a career record of 173–80 (68.4%). Despite her talent though, Coco has never been beyond the Fourth Round of this event coming in 2020 and 2023.

Coco's campaign commenced with a straight sets victory 3-6, 0-6 over three time tour winner Anna Karolína Schmiedlová. That victory was followed by a 6-7, 2-6 win over former World Number (21) Caroline Dolehide.

In the Third round she made light work of another rising tennis star Alycia Parks to book a Fourth round date with one time tour winner Magdalena Fręch.

Coco is one to keep onside in the betting market and at 3/1 represents decent value having been backed in from 7/1.

Mirra Andreeva

Further out in the betting is World Number 46 and another rising teenage tennis star Mirra Andreevat at 14/1  who since turning pro in 2021 already as a record of 78–19 (80.4%)

We're only nineteen days into 2024 and Mirra has already ticked off reaching her first WTA Quarter-Final at the Brisbane International, top-10 victory agains Ons Jabeur at this event our debut year at the tournament.

In the First round she beat two-time tour title winner Bernarda Pera 7-5, 6-2.  She then had the biggest victory over her career comprehensively beating former Grand Slam finalist Ons Jabeur 0-6, 2-6.

In the Third round she beat another young tennis prospect Diane Parry 1-6, 6-1, 7-6 to book a place in the Fourth round against former French Open winner Barbora Krejčíková.

Mirra looks to be one of the sports newest stars but faces a tough Fourth clash her in next game.

Zheng Qinwen

Rounding up the betting market is World Number (12) and two-time tour winner Zheng Qinwen at odds of 16/1 as she looks to better her US Open Quarter-Final appearance in 2023.

Zheng currently holds a career record of 175–76 (69.7%) and 2WTA Tour titles. She is entered this tournament following the best year of her career in 2023 reaching Major and clay WTA 1000 quarterfinals, winning her  first two WTA Tour titles and rising into the top 15.

In the First round she beat teenager Ashlyn Krueger who won her maiden WTA title in 2023 3-6,, 6-2, 6-3. She then defeat English Women Katie Boulter in straight sets 6-3, 6-3

In the Third round she is drawn in an all Chinese affair against World Number (47) an one-time tour winner Wang Yafan.
