On the back of two defeats following Gold Cup glory in March, he blew away the opposition at Leopardstown and could be called the winner a long way from home. Gerri Colombe stayed on into second place under Jack Kennedy after hitting his customary flat spot but was ultimately beaten by 23 lengths.
