The Ryder Cup will begin at 7.35am, Friday, September 29th. There will then be three days of golf played with the 2023 Ryder Cup ending Sunday afternoon, October 1st.

Where is the Ryder Cup?

The 2023  Ryder Cup will be held at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, a Par 72 Course which has previously hosted the 1994 and 2021 Italian Open.

The bidding process for the 44th edition of the Ryder Cup opened on 23 June 2014. On 14 December 2015, Rome was announced as the host of the 44th Ryder Cup for the first time. Italy beat Germany, Austria and Spain to win the bid.

The United States won the 2021 Ryder Cup despite fielding the youngest team in its history. They regained the Ryder Cup with a record 19–9 victory. This was the largest margin of victory in a Ryder Cup in the Team Europe era.

How much do the winners of the Ryder Cup receive?

Players are not compensated for participating in the Ryder Cup, even if they compete on the winning team.

However, they may receive money in another way with The PGA of America reportedly giving each player on Team USA $200,000 for charity, half going to an organisation of the players choosing and half going to the Boys & Girls Club of America, the Drive, Chip, & Putt Championship, and the PGA Junior League.
